CHRISTIAN BELIEVERS ACTING SECULAR FILMS, WHY?

I want to be a Christian Actor not a secular Actor has been some common words from newbies who aspire to become screen Actors and Actresses. This sometimes is as a result of misleading mind programming and misconception about Acting especially from parents, society and guardians who regards Actors as ungodly, Wayward, demonic etc.

This insecurity in their minds especially fear of not being accused of misconduct has limited many gifted young Actors with religious background although talented and creative to detach any Character they are limited. 

This limitation in the mind will reflect in results obtained, mostly with little or no influence in the Acting Industry or diverting into another profession away from their God given talent.

There's nothing like a Christian Actor or secular Actor. In this article we will be correcting this misconception that has limited many who were to be trailblazers but ended up victims of incomplete Knowledge...CLICK

There's nothing like a Christian Actor and a secular Actor but there's a Christian Character and a secular Character. Before we get into details let's check out some key terms 

Who is an Actor

We have defined who an actor is in our previous article for details check Beginners basic knowledge An Actor is someone who perform a Character that is imaginary. This means Actors are representing what is not really theirs but that which belongs to someone or something. Actors are trained to wear an identity or Character they don't possess in the natural. This identity or character might be Christlike identity or Secular identity but doesn't apply in the Actors individual lives 

What's Character

Alot has been discussed about Character in our previous article Beginners basic knowledge. Character talks about the total sum of Moral, Mental, phschological, physical, emotional Attributes of something or someone existing or non-existing. This Characters and vitures can be Christlike or Secular Characters yet most be Performed by Actors. 

Therefore Actors are individuals who Perform Characters which are Christlike or Secular. This doesn't mean an Actor who display a secular Character is ungodly and Wayward in natural Sense, that's a display of  professionalism, some are more godly than Actors who choose to Perform Christlike Characters on Screen yet in natural reals Sens very ungodly in real behavior and conduct.

 They are Actors who Perform good husband Characters on screen yet in real life with broken marriages, many who Perform Christlike Characters on Screen yet Immoral and corrupt personality in outward life..

The concept of Christian Actor and secular Actor is a display of unprofessionalism in the Acting Industry... Almost all Actors are Christian Actors by religious view and standard so the point of distinction should be "I am an Actor but I frequently Perform Christlike Characters"

Note!! The Entire Christian Life is Acting itself. Christians are to Act and live as Christ not as themselves. Left to someone individuals they can't forgive but unforgiveness is not the Character of Christ and for one to become like Christ he has to keep unforgiveness aside and Act on with forgiveness to be a follower of Christ. 

Taking up Secular Character roles doesn't make anyone ungodly in as much as such individual is not ungodly in real Sense. We are not known as Christians on screen but by what we do off screen.. Let this insight settled the theory of Christian Actor or Secular Actor. The Scripture says Every Good and Perfect Gift(including Acting) Comes from above and also  the gift of God are irreversible. Just have a good sense of Discipline
